VALCOR Australia established in Australia in 1968 to provide high quality precision metal cutting goods and services to the Australian automotive industry, later on became as MAPAL Australia has evolved to become a supplier of high quality cutting tools and metal working fluids to a broad range of industries throughout Australia.

Headquarters of the MAPAL Group

Headquarters of the company group is MAPAL Dr Kress KG in Aalen. Key competencies, such as Research and Development, Controlling, Marketing and Corporate Communications, Training and the Services sector, are concentrated here.

Aalen is also the largest production site of the MAPAL Group and is responsible for the product areas of fine boring tools, blades and inserts, fixed multi-bladed reamers, clamping systems and adapters, ISO tools, mechatronic systems, setting and measuring devices and tool dispensing systems. With the coating plant installed in 2013, MAPAL has included a major area in tool development and production into its own premises.

With nearly 1,800 employees, including about 130 trainees, MAPAL is one of the largest employers in the city and the region.
